dnata Singapore receives ITE Certified On-The-Job Training Centre (COJTC) Scheme accreditation

Singapore, 5 May 2021 - dnata Singapore has obtained accreditation from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) as a Certified On-the-Job Training Centre (COJTC) for its structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) and good OJT practices. As an accredited COJTC, dnata will work closely with ITE to continuously review and improve the quality of the company’s OJT system, develop training blueprints and build the team of in-house trainers.

Dr Yek Tiew Ming, Principal of ITE College East, presented an official certificate to Musdalifa Abdullah, dnata Singapore Board Member, during a delegation’s visit to ITE College East. “dnata Singapore remains committed to co-develop and deploy technological innovations with ITE that would automate, digitalise and improve work processes, products and services in the Air Transport Sector. We hope with all these efforts and investments, we will continue to attract the younger generation of locals to the aviation industry,” Musdalifa reiterated.

Following a Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year, both dnata and ITE will expand their existing partnership in the area of human capital growth and development. The company hopes to attract, develop and maintain a skilled local workforce, and strengthen its talent pipeline through collaboration with ITE on its Work-Study Diploma, Higher Nitec and student internship programmes to meet its business needs.

dnata’s team also toured the ITE College East’s airport premium lounge and cabin mock-up facilities used for the training of the students attending Higher Nitec in Passenger Services along with the Logistics Training Centre and Technology Hub of the campus. The visit underscores the long-standing ties between dnata and ITE and signals the intention to grow the ties in scope and depth with regular visits and professional exchanges.
