dnata announces new senior management appointments

Summary

Global air services provider, dnata, has announced two new appointments to its senior management team. Steve Allen will take over as Divisional Senior Vice President, UAE Airport Operations, and Mark Gibb has been appointed as Senior Vice President, dnata Safety and Standards, responsible for dnata’s safety culture globally and the company’s One Safety programme.

 

Steve has 15 years of experience in British Airways, and helped design Heathrow’s Terminal 5 before joining dnata in 2008 as Vice President Operations, where he was instrumental in the birth of the One dnata Strategy. He then moved to lead the Performance Development department in 2011 as Senior Vice President, and led a number of major change programmes across the group, including the ongoing design for Phase 2 of DWC. Steve is part of the Emirates Group Innovation board, and currently serves as a board member at two UAE based group companies, Transguard and Plafond.

Prior to joining dnata, Mark held senior leadership roles in the energy sector, most recently with Veresen and before that with Nexen and Shell. He was accountable for safety across sites in North America, North Africa, Middle East, Asia and Europe as well as in start-up, operational and growth businesses. With over 25 years of work experience, he has led successful change programmes in a multinational, regional and start-up organizations.

Established in 1959, dnata ensures the aviation industry operates smoothly and efficiently in 131 airports across the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and South America.
